Description
Rosso di Montalcino is made from the Sangiovese grape variety and is grown exclusively in the vineyards of the municipality of Montalcino in the province of Siena (Tuscany). Sangiovese is the most widely grown red grape variety in Italy and is the basis of such famous wines as Chianti, Brunello and vino nobile di Montepulciano. Sangiovese means the blood of Jupiter and has a centuries-old history.
